My Owner(MO) is making final preparations. We are planning to leave early Friday morning…
In the true sense of a vacation, I am going to get an equine massage with Kim Kizzier of Applied Integrative Therapy during the trip. Kim is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and is a certified equine acupressure practitioner with Tallgrass Animal Acupressure. MO has a book published by Tallgrass Publications, Equine Acupressure: A Working Manual and is enthused about watching me be worked on. I get to try out something new again! I told you MO’s favorite thing to do was test out ideas with ME. MO says I travel “a little off” and she hopes this will help.
On another note, MO’s Husband(MOH), put up plywood in the barn this past weekend around my tie area. It was rainy and cold, and he was working in MY place in the barn. I was dirty, so got a bath in the cold temps and was tied to the horse walker to dry, until the barn work was finished. MO put a couple of wool coolers on me, so it wasn’t too bad.
However, I did let MOH know my opinion about the whole deal…as soon as I was tied in the barn, in true mare fashion, I peed on the brand new plywood and left a big puddle on the floor!
I will have more stories on the SD Horse Getaway when I return!
