Original Bob Marshall Treeless Saddle

August 23rd, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have had some issues with my back and withers.  My Owner(MO) has been concerned about me being sore and uncomfortable, so she bought me a new saddle!  I just love it when MO spends money on me!

She also bought me a couple of nice saddle pads, one for my new saddle and one for another saddle she wants me to wear once in a while from our local saddle shop, Williston Saddlery.   We spent a couple of hours with Karen Novak trying on saddles and pads in order to buy the best product for me.  I was naughty because the temperature was cool!

Since my build is narrow, MO bought pads from the Williston Saddlery she thought would help reduce roll.  One of the pads is a Sharon Camarillo Sure Fit Pro

Bob Marshall Saddle MO did quite  bit of research before she bought the saddle, also, and bought it because she could try it for 10 days and return it if I didn’t like it! She tried a friend’s on me and rode other horses with the same saddle brand.

Modelling my new saddle with “standard” fenders and back cinch.

Makes me feel so powerful to have that much influence on MO.  I like the saddle and have responded appropriately so MO would know that I approved.

With my narrow build, MO’s other saddles were slipping sideways on me.  I am so glad MO bought a Bob Marshall Treeless Saddle!  She worked with Gerri Rini and was pleased the results.

Does MO complain of the saddle giving her sores on her legs? I know someone who tried a similiar product but it gave them a sores on the inside of her knees.

Thank you for your question. MO does not complain of sore knees. She likes how light the saddle is to carry and lift on my back, she likes the feel of me under the saddle (she can feel me breathe), and she likes the way she sits in the saddle. Did the person try a Bob Marshall Sports Saddle? This weekend and trail riding will be a good test for the ME, the saddle, and MO’s body.
