2008 SD Horse Getaway (2)

September 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

One of the mornings at the High Country Ranch was pretty frosty. [...]

September 18th, 2008 · 1 Comment

My Owner(MO) likes to drive early, so we did. We were loaded and gone by 4 am.  I got a full hay bag to munch on for the trip. MO stopped a couple times, so I could relax.
When I arrived at the High Country Ranch, I was shown like royalty to my pen, which was bigger than [...]

My Owner(MO) continues with her enthusiasm for getting me in shape. She has ridden me every day since Sunday. Wow! That is really quite a lot for a nice, lazy girl like me. Of course, she does give me a reward after we’re done riding.
Last night the temps were [...]

Horse Training

September 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

My Owner(MO) is determined that I will be in condition by the time we go to SD. (see previous post)  This past weekend was Labor Day weekend, which gave MO 3 days to work with me.  I’m sure glad that 3 day weekends only come once in a while!
Sunday I was not a happy camper.  [...]
