My Owner(MO) says such a beautiful start to the day makes her feel thankful…

I’m not sure I understand…she has me, so what else would she need?

My Owner(MO) likes to have horses a lot of places in her life, hence the picture by Pamela Parker in the previous post.(The Babysitter) MO was in the retail clothing business for a couple of years in the 90’s. During one of her trips to market, she found the talented artist and acquired the print.(unframed) I guess you can say the print has fond memories for her….
Here is The Babysitter and some of Pamela Parker’s other prints.

My Owner(MO) took a couple of pictures of the horses on her wall at work. The purpose was to view the difference in her new camera, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50, which she purchased in August and the HP 315 that Her Husband(HH) was letting her use.

The picture on the left is the Cybershot with 9 megapixels, on the right the HP 315 with 2.1 mp.
As time went on, MO also found out she will be working from home as of the end of 2008. The picture itself has taken on a new meaning, it will portray “office” when it is moved back into MO’s House.

My Owner (MO) found these carved pumpkins at a friend’s house during her travels.

Celebrate the season. I am adding more fat and more hair as my way of getting ready for the season!

Esctatic
There has been a buzz of excitement around our place the last couple days. My Owner(MO) is coming home! She should have arrived home late last night.
The World’s Best Husband (TWBH) has been fencing and petting his new John Deere horses . He bought some new equipment for those horses while MO was away. He told me he even did some of his laundry while MO was away. He will be glad to see MO and will have a list of tasks for her to do ASAP. Sometimes I wonder how men can survive on their own!
Noley has been her usual pest self, including taking dips in my drinking tub as soon as I get fresh water. She will be so excited to see MO, that she will cry for about 10 minutes and then be so excited she’ll run through the house and do wind sprints in the hall.
Can Can will get a new hay bale…and a few hugs of love.
ME???? I will be so glad to see MO….We have our homecoming routine…She will put me in the barn, give me treats, brush and massage me, make sure my mane and tail are conditioned and groomed and then longe me… I can hardly wait!!! I will try to throw a few surprises at her just to show her how happy I am to see her.
Then the two of us will put our heads together and I will be busy blogging again!
Homecoming Routines…..what are yours?

My Owner(MO) and I agreed on one thing today….the weather and temps were beautiful. It was about 66 degrees with no wind. Even old grandma Can Can was frisking around her pen.
MO decided the weather was so beautiful that I needed to be longed. I’m one of those horses that really likes to play when I’m longed. I had the most fun. I’ve been really trying to impress MO lately with my ability to rear high in the air….so on the first turn around request I reared up high…..she was not impressed. She thought I should S-W-E-A-T because I had acted silly. Since my hair coat is becoming thick and furry in preparation for winter, I S-W-E-A-T pretty quickly. MO asked me to come to a stop, so I did, but I let out a really big “wild horse blow” so that she knew I was still really frisky.
Then MO asked me to rear….. Although I understood the message, as with almost everything, it’s not near as much fun when someone asks you to do something. And I’m a little bit lazy, so I wouldn’t rear. At that point, we had a hurried conference called by MO…yes, I did rear when she asked, and, yes, I did get down when she asked. I just had to test that she meant what she said before I would do either one! MO says if I’m really good, she will teach me to lay down this winter….I’m not sure what I really think about that.
MO told me she is going to be out of town for a couple of weeks; she’s going to be travelling with something she called a C-L-I-E-N-T. I’m not expecting her to be able to help me with my blog until she gets home. You can count on that I will be thinking up some really clever stories, though, while she’s gone!

My Owner(MO) found an interesting ad in our local shopper. It was a horse drawn Doctor’s buggy for sale. MO spent a lunch hour visiting with Bill Barkie the owner of the buggy. Here are some pictures of what she found.

Come to find out that MO thinks I would look good pulling a Doctor’s Buggy. I’m not so sure about that….it sounds like W-O-R-K! Although having everyone admire ME in parades may be worth the effort!
If you like to look at antique/horse drawn vehicles Justin Carriage Works and Great Northern Livery Company, Inc. have a nice selection.
